Today was a day for shopping again. I was going into Kopparberg. I found it a bit difficult to tear myself away from my nice hunting cabin, but eventually got going. My feet got soon a bit wet after all the rain, but dried quickly again. It was a great day.
As bad as I thought Laxå was, Kopparberg is just as nice, which makes the culture shock more bearable. I shopped for the next five days and then had my obligatory pizza. Then I only had an hour until the evening’s shelter.
When I arrived, there were two guys fishing. That is, they had done that. Now all they needed was eating their fish, which was ready to go on the grill and of course having a beer. And again, they shared it all with me. How lucky can you get?
When the two of them had almost left, two women arrived. They are hiking part of the Bergslagsleden trail, which I am on, southwards. It’s not often that I meet other hikers and it’s best when you meet at the same shelter and that way have an evening to chat together. It was a very interesting and inspiring conversation. Eva, the older of the two, only really started hiking after she stopped working at the age of 70. Now she does it all the time and loves it. She wants to die alive, as she said. Thank you, Eva, for a really nice and thought-provoking talk.
Great going Angelika, one foot after the other and you will be at the other end before you know it. Strong 💪🏼
