It was a day of transition. Off the trails and onto tarmac and gravel roads. It’s hard on the knees and feet.
I came in through a slightly larger town (by Swedish standards), Tidaholm, and of course stopped at one of the several(!) pizzerias in town for an early lunch. It was a nice break from the tarmac roads. The good thing is that there is so little traffic that you can mostly walk where the curvature of the road is best for your legs, i.e. in the centre 😊. After several days in the forest, it was nice to have a different perspective again and to stretch my eyes. I was completely absorbed by the different flowers by the roadside. Ordinary flowers, but so beautiful when you take a closer look.
Eventually I went up to some height to a shelter there. And there is a fantastic view. It’s a bit remote, so I was surprised that the sisters Anneli and Ingela turned up on their evening walk. We had a nice chat and there’s the prospect of coffee together tomorrow morning when they either come back up or have asked me to knock on the yellow door on the way down. I shall endeavour to do so. Great perspective!!!
